Marty White, who created AMK Heating & Cooling, became interested in the HVAC industry while he was a high school student. He got married, attended two years of vocational school after graduating, and then enlisted in the Air Force. He expanded his experience by fixing HVAC systems on ICBM sites while he was in the Air Force.

He pursued an HVAC-related degree at a nearby institution after leaving the Air Force. He entered the industry after graduating to gain experience in a variety of HVAC-related areas. Marty made the decision to launch his own company while pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at SIUE.



When he started rearranging his studies to fit a business that was succeeding, he saw right away that he had a passion for this sector. He made the decision to focus all of his efforts on growing AMK Heating & Cooling because of the influx of new construction, system replacements of all kinds, and service work requests.
